Located in Braşov, a town which takes great pride in its rich historical past, the Air Force Academy is a Higher Education military institute directly subordinated to the Air Force Staff.
The Academy’s mission is to train the necessary officers for the Air Force, who will obtain a diploma in “Military Sciences, Intelligence and Public Order” and are specialized in “Organizational Management”, „Aviation Management”, „Air Traffic Management”, „Management of Anti-Aircraft Missiles and Artillery”, „Management of Air Surveillance Defense Systems”; these officers have attended regular full-time training courses in one of the following specialties: flying personnel, non-flying personnel, meteorology, artillery and anti-aircraft missiles and radar.
